Connecting MetaTrader 5 (quick start)
The instrument catalogue now includes Deriv synthetic indices such as Volatility (including 1-second), Boom/Crash, Step/Multi Step, Jump, Range Break, Drift Switch, DEX and Hybrid Boom/Crash. The available chart, bias, signal and automation features can vary by symbol and provider.
MT5 automation runs through a licensed Expert Advisor (EA) in your own MetaTrader 5 terminal — AlienAlgo never gets your broker password.
- Obtain automation access, then open the EA / Token section in Settings.
- Download the EA and copy your personal token.
- In MetaTrader 5, attach the EA to a chart and paste your token into its input.
- The EA auto-detects your broker's symbol prefixes/suffixes and connects; account state appears back in the app. Confirm that your broker offers the selected symbol and that it appears in the EA's tradeable-symbol list.
- Choose your trading mode and risk settings, then enable auto-trading. Keep the terminal running (a PC or VPS) for orders to execute.
If the token shows "not accepted", re-copy it from Settings; if a pair won't map, check the EA's on-chart list of tradeable symbols. See the FAQ for more.
