Data sources & transparency

What powers AlienAlgo, how fresh it is, and where the limits are. We'd rather be clear about this than overstate it.

Market data (price & volume)

Live and historical candles and volume for forex, metals, indices and crypto are aggregated from multiple exchange and market-data providers with automatic failover. Deriv synthetic-index instruments are also available through their supported market-data source; provider availability and analysis features can vary by symbol. If a source is unavailable or blocked in a region, the engine falls back where another source supports that instrument.

  • Update frequency: streaming/near-real-time for the live tick; candles update as bars form and close.
  • Nature: indicative market data for analysis — not a broker execution feed. Your broker's price, spread and fills can differ.
  • Delays: some feeds can lag during high volatility or provider outages.

News

Financial headlines are pulled from reputable financial news feeds and filtered for relevance to the currencies and pairs you follow, then interpreted by the AI for likely directional impact.

  • Update frequency: continuously as new headlines publish.

Limitation: news interpretation explains likely direction; it does not predict the exact price move of every headline.

Economic calendar

Scheduled macro releases (name, country, currency, impact, previous, forecast, actual, time) come from a macroeconomic data source, shown in your local time, with a committed directional read per event.

  • Update frequency: forecasts ahead of time; actuals fill in at release.

Limitation: revisions and off-schedule remarks happen; treat event timing as approximate.

AI models

The AI workspace runs on the platform's own model stack with failover across models, so a single provider issue doesn't take the assistant down. It reads the live context described above at request time.

Limitation: the AI can be wrong or temporarily unavailable; it states when a pair's live data couldn't be loaded rather than inventing numbers.

Your account & execution (MT5)

When you connect MetaTrader 5, account state and trade history come from your own terminal via a licensed Expert Advisor. AlienAlgo does not hold your broker credentials, and execution happens at your broker — subject to their spread, slippage and rejection handling.

Third-party dependencies

Because AlienAlgo aggregates external providers, availability and accuracy ultimately depend on those third parties and on your own connection and broker. The platform is designed to degrade gracefully (failover, clear "data unavailable" messaging) rather than show a wrong number.

All data is provided "as is" for informational purposes and may be delayed or inaccurate. It is not investment advice and not an offer to trade. Trading involves risk of loss.
